Amber C. (Huffer) Brewer
64, of Camden, went to be with the Lord, Wednesday, December 25, 2024.
She was born August5, 1960, in Dayton, to the late Albert E. Huffer and Betty (Martin) Huffer.
In addition to her parents, Amber was preceded in death by her daughter, Jennifer Collins; son, Austin Lee Klapper; and brothers, Albert Eugene Huffer, Jr. and Donald Huffer.
She is survived by her daughter, Stacey Collins; son, Donnie Smith; grandchildren, Ryan Newton, Joshua Riley, and Jenna Riley; other numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren; siblings, Roy Huffer, Robin Huffer Brummett, and Karen Franks; special niece, Nicole (Tim) Huffer; special nephew, Justin (Ashly) Brummett; and her loyal dog, Mollie Marie.
Amber’s love for life was only rivaled by her remarkable gift for gardening. Whether it was reviving a wilting plant or nurturing a delicate seed into a thriving beauty, Amber's green thumb could truly work wonders. She had the uncanny ability to coax life back from the brink, and her garden was a testament to her tender care and boundless patience.
Amber’s favorite place was her yard, where she could often be found tending to her plants, chatting with her flowers as if they were old friends. No leaf was ever left unfurled, no weed unchecked. A true gardener at heart, she knew the secret to a successful garden was love, laughter, and a little dirt under the nails.
In earlier times, Amber could be found camping at Caesar Creek, where she enjoyed the tranquility of nature with a campfire and good company. She also found great joy in curling up on the couch with a bowl of popcorn, watching classic westerns. She had an unmatched love for "Gunsmoke," "Wagon Train," and "The Rifleman," often remarking that no one did it better than John Wayne. The Grit Channel and Mollie Marie were her faithful companions in Amber’s quiet evenings.
A visitation will be held Thursday, January 2 from 2PM to 4PM at BALES FUNERAL HOME, Camden. A memorial service will begin at 4PM with Pastor Greg Jackson officiating.
