Becky Best Phillips

69, of Fairhaven, passed away after a long illness, Thursday, October 10, 2024.

She was born June 29, 1955, in Richmond, Indiana, to the late Arnold V. and Dorothy “Dot” L. (King) Pettit.

In addition to her parents, Becky was preceded in death by her husband, Roger Best.

She is survived by her daughters, Jackie (Josh) Asher, Wendy (Matt Donovan) Best, and Savannah (Scott Weikert) Best; grandchildren, Britney Miller, Preston Broyles, Joslyn Asher, Jaden Best, Gabby Best, Shelby Buttery, Brinley Weikert, and Noah Weikert; great grandchildren, Cameron, Zander, and Kash Miller, and Caiden and Ke’Lianna Grebe; sister, Arnita Wood; brothers, Steven and Danny Pettit; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Becky dedicated her career to keeping Miami University a welcoming place as a housekeeper. A lover of yard sales and antiques, she found joy in the thrill of a good find. Above all, Becky was known for her kindness and the unconditional love she offered to those around her. Her happiest moments were spent surrounded by her beloved family, who will cherish her memory deeply. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

A visitation will be held Wednesday, October 16 from 12PM to 2PM at BALES FUNERAL HOME, Camden, with the funeral service beginning at 2PM. The family will have a gathering at Fairhaven Community Church, 6585 Israel-Somers Road, in Fairhaven at 3:30PM.
