Gloria J. (Lukens) Thorpe

Age 84, of Eaton, passed away Thursday, March 12, 2020.

She was born March 19, 1935 in Indianapolis, Indiana to the late Rupert and Iva (Warrick) Lukens.

In addition to her parents, Gloria was preceded in death by a daughter, Pam Moore; siblings, Barbara McKee, Jim Lukens, Phillip Lukens, and Candi Lukens; and brother-in-law, John Gaither.

She is survived by her children, Jim Thorpe, Kevin (Peggy) Thorpe, and Karen (Tim) Clinger; grandchildren, Andy, Kristina, Amanda, Jonathon, Joshua, Matt, and Chris; 16 great grandchildren; siblings, Mary Lou (Sam) Gray, Donna Kay Gaither, Linda (Ron) Gatewood, and Lori Chew; sisters-in-law, Rita Lukens and Charlotte Lukens; brother-in-law, Virgil McKee; nieces and nephews; and many more family and friends.

Gloria was a member of Eaton Baptist Temple for about 50 years, where she enjoyed being a Jr. Church Leader.  She retired from Browning after many years of service.

The family will receive friends Tuesday March 17, 2020 from 12PM to 1PM at BALES’ FUNERAL HOME, Camden.  The funeral service will begin at 1PM with Pastor Lowell Spencer officiating.  Burial will follow at Mound Hill Cemetery, Eaton.
