Harvey M. Weherley
Age 71, of Camden, passed away peacefully at home, Sunday, August 5, 2018.
He was born September 29, 1946 in Richmond, Indiana to the late Dale and Helen Weherley.
Harvey was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Janet Weherley; infant son; and brother, Dale Allen Weherley.
He is survived by his son, Kevin (Danielle); granddaughters, Peyton, Madison, and Allie; siblings, Richard (Carolyn) Francis, Jackie Denlinger, Charlotte (Terry) Poullan, and Jodie (Ned) Hunsucker; loving companion, Linda Paxton, and her granddaughter, Alaina; sister-in-law, Geraldine Weherley; and many nieces, nephews, family, and friends.
Harvey was a proud veteran of the U.S. Army, who served during the Vietnam War. He enjoyed going to yard sales and spending time out in the woods hunting, whether it was mushrooms or coons. When snow fell in Camden, you could find him plowing all the sidewalks in town, on his own time. Harvey was a selfless person and just wanted to help anyone who was in need.
The family will receive friends Saturday, August 11 from 11AM to 1PM at BALES’ FUNERAL HOME, Camden (formerly Nein Funeral Home). Military Honors will begin at 1PM followed by the funeral service with Pastor Fred Schmidt officiating.
Contributions in Harvey’s memory may be made to Hospice of the Miami Valley, 46 N. Detroit Street, Suite B Xenia, OH 45385.
