James “Jim” L. Browning
passed away unexpectedly on March 30, 2023.
He was born on June 13, 1952 in Fairfield, IN, to the late Delbert and Osceola Browning. He was the 8th of 14 children.
He is survived by his daughter America (Jesse) Swartzel and son Chris (Amber) Browning; and grandchildren, Ceridwyn Salyers, Nora Browning, and Jude Swartzel. He is also survived by siblings, Ballard, Pam, Delbert, Jerry, and Billy. In addition, Jim leaves behind numerous cousins, nephews, nieces, friends, and close friend and caretaker, Tina McKinney.
He is predeceased by siblings Juanita, Bobby, Esther, Ethel, Harold, Wayne, Vickie, and Danny.
Jim worked as a machine operator and in the maintenance department at Square D in Oxford, Ohio for over 30 years. After retirement, Jim worked for Miami University.
Jim was a devoted and loving Father and Grandfather. He loved the outdoors. His hobbies included fishing, camping, hunting, coin collecting, and boating. He loved bluegrass music, watching documentaries, and finding good deals through the trading post. He had a fantastic sense of humor and will be dearly missed by all who loved him.
A visitation will be held Saturday, April 22 from 11AM to 12PM at BALES FUNERAL HOME, CAMDEN with a memorial service to begin at 12PM.
