Janel Kiracofe

88, of Camden, passed away, Monday, March 11, 2024.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Lloyd B. and Mary C. Kiracofe; son, Bill Kiracofe; and siblings, Gene Paul, James, Roy, Darrel, and Donald Kiracofe.

Janel is survived by her grandchildren, Devin, Samantha, and Jakob; and numerous nieces, nephews, family, and friends.

She spent her formative years on the family farm, cultivating a deep connection to the land and fostering values that would shape her life.  For an impressive 34 years, Janel served as a dedicated school bus driver for Preble Shawnee Schools.  Beyond the bus routes, Janel spent two  decades as a cashier at Walmart.  As a life-long member of the Independent Order of Odd Fellows and Somers Rebakah Lodge #125, she exemplified the principles of friendship, love, and truth. An avid crocheter, Janel's nimble fingers created intricate and beautiful pieces that served as both art and comfort.

A visitation will be held Thursday, March 14 from 11AM to 12PM at BALES FUNERAL HOME, Camden.  The funeral service will begin at 12PM with Pastor Greg Jackson officiating.  Janel will be laid to rest in Fairmount Cemetery between her son, Bill, and brother, Gene Paul.
