Joyce A. Snyder

71 of Camden, formerly of Covington, Kentucky, went to be with the Lord, Wednesday, July 31, 2024.

She was born March 14, 1953, in Covington, to the late George William Reed and Carlene (Turley) Creech.

In addition to her parents, Joyce was preceded in death by her son, Chris Barnett, and siblings, Mary Simon, Jeff Carpenter, and Barbara Levy.

She is survived by her husband of 27 years, David Snyder; children, Tim (Cheryl) Barnett, Joy Brockman, Cathy Robinson, and James “Joe” Barnett; grandchildren, Nikki Lopez, Steven Brockman, Katie Lynn Brockman, CJ Barnett, Cy-Cy Rowe, Codie Rowe, Cainan Rowe, Khloie Barnett, Makylla Barnett, Braylen Barnett, and Preston Barnett; 13.5 great grandchildren; siblings, Bob Carpenter, Sherrie Wright, George Reed, and Doug Reed; and many more family and friends.

Joyce had a zest for life that was reflected in her many passions. She was an avid shopper, always on the lookout for the perfect addition to her cherished collection of Precious Moments figurines, jewelry, and knick-knacks. Her home was a testament to her love for these treasures, each piece carefully chosen and lovingly displayed.

In her leisure time, Joyce found joy in the simple pleasures. She had a fondness for classic television and spent countless hours enjoying the wholesome humor of The Andy Griffith Show. Her love for music was just as deep, with Bon Jovi being a particular favorite. The sounds of her favorite songs often filled her home, bringing her a sense of comfort and happiness.

Above all, Joyce's greatest love was for her family. She was a devoted mother and grandmother, and her children and grandbabies were the light of her life. Joyce's face would light up with pride and joy whenever she spoke of them.

A Celebration of Life will take place Saturday, August 10 from 3pm to 6pm at her home, 8815 Gratis-Jacksonburg Road, Camden.
