Melvin K. Rusk Sr.

Age 72, of Camden went to be with the Lord on Friday December 4, 2020.

He was born September 5, 1948 to the late George and Genevieve (Davis) Rusk. In addition to his parents Melvin was preceded in death by his sister Linda Leach; and son in law, Bob Heindl.

He is survived by his loving wife of 33 years, Becky Rusk; sons, Melvin Rusk Jr., Joe (Brandy) Alderman, Kris (Brandy) Alderman; daughters, Libby Gingrich, Rachael (Duane) Beers, Haley (Iggy) Jackson, Dani Hawkins, and Beth (Terry) Zapfe; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren; brothers, Luther Rusk, Kenny (Diane) Rusk, Norman (Carole) Rusk, and Doug Rusk; and many more nieces, nephews, family and friends.

Melvin loved farming and collected John Deere memorabilia.  He also enjoyed fishing, campfires, and porch sitting.  In his younger days he spent time at Kilkare Speedway at the races. Most of all Melvin enjoyed watching his grandchildren play sports and just loved spending time with his family.

The family will receive friends Tuesday, December 8, from 11AM to 12PM at BALES’ FUNERAL HOME, Camden.  The funeral service will begin at 12PM with Pastor Jeff Travis officiating.  Burial will follow at Preble Memory Gardens, West Alexandria.
