Rita A. (Musch) Roark
72, of Camden, went to be with the Lord, Friday, June 23, 2023.
She was born October 16, 1950, in Hamilton, to the late John W. Musch and Naomi I. (Flora) Tapalman.
In addition to her parents, Rita was preceded in death by her sister, Pam Combs.
She is survived by her loving husband of 49 years, James Roark; son, Jon (Sheila) Roark; daughter, Courtney (Timothy) Douglass; grandchildren, Megan, Logan, and Kendall; great granddaughter, Saige; and many cousins, nieces, nephews, and other family members.
Affectionately known as "Rocking Rita" among her friends and loved ones. Rita was a force of nature—a vivacious spirit who always had a story to tell, a joke to share, or an opinion to express. Her enthusiasm for conversation was so boundless that, over time, "Rocking Rita" became "Rambling Rita" when it seemed impossible to get a word in during her lively exchanges.
Rita's life was a testament to her deep appreciation for the natural world. She had a unique ability to find solace and tranquility amidst the vibrant colors and sweet fragrances of her flower garden. With each delicate blossom that bloomed under her tender care, she nurtured a small piece of paradise.
Beyond her garden, Rita found joy in embracing the great outdoors. She had an adventurous spirit that led her to explore the wonders of nature, often taking to the water on the boat. The freedom she felt as the wind gently swept through her hair and the sun kissed her face brought her immeasurable happiness.
Rita's role as a grandmother and great grandmother was the pinnacle of her existence. She found immense happiness in the simple pleasures of spending quality time with her grandchildren, delighting in their laughter, and witnessing their growth. To them, she was not just "Memaw," but a source of unwavering love, guidance, and wisdom. We can not forget to mention the long walks spent in the company of her loyal and faithful companion, Benson. Their walks together were a daily ritual, a chance for them to explore the world side by side, forging an unbreakable bond of love and companionship.
A visitation will be held Wednesday, June 28 from 10AM to 1PM at Christ Commission Temple, 155 N. Main St, Camden, 45311. The funeral service will begin at 1PM with Pastor Larry Davidson officiating and burial to follow at Fairmount Cemetery, Camden.
