Ritchie L. Longworth

Born May 4th, 1956, Age 64, of Germantown, Ohio. He was a 1974 graduate of Preble Shawnee High School with honors. A 1978 graduate of Cumberland College, where he received a full-ride scholarship for basketball. He spent his career as a manager for GE and Hewlett-Packard. Ritchie peacefully passed away at his home. He went to be with the Lord, Monday, August 24, 2020.

He was preceded in death by his father, Paul E. Longworth.

Ritchie is survived by his wife of 39 years, Ann Longworth; mother and step-father, Lena (Carl) Johnson; children, John (Jenn) Longworth, Katie Longworth, Kellie Longworth, and Leslie Becraft; grandchildren, Jackson, Jonathan, and Jamison Longworth, Shelbie Ledford, Hannah Highley, and Jacob Becraft; 2 great grandchildren; siblings, Carrie (Larry) Matthews and David (Susan) Longworth; niece and nephews, Larry (Leeann) Matthews, Kevin Matthews, Michael (Amber) Matthews, Courtney (Evan) Wagner, and Seth Longworth.

He was a man of faith. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and being outdoors. A man with an impeccable work ethic. He was inducted into the Preble County Hall of Fame for basketball as an individual and as a team. Ritchie never met a stranger. He treated everyone with kindness and with respect. He was known for his "long stories short." Ritchie had the biggest heart. But his greatest love was spending time with his beloved family and friends.

The family will receive friends Friday, August 28 from 4-7PM at First Southern Baptist Church, 35 N. Liberty St., Camden, Ohio 45311. The funeral service will begin at 11AM at the church with Pastor David Longworth officiating. Burial will follow at Fairview Cemetery, Gratis, Ohio.
