Susan H. Krebs nee Posival

passed peacefully into the arms of our creator on November 15, 2020. Born on Jan. 22, 1941 to Leopold C.  and Veronica Posival. She lived most of her young life in Silverton, Ohio with her siblings, Ellen (Bob) Medford, Theodore Posival and Thomas (Von) Posival. Later in life she and her husband took their family West and settled in Wyoming. She loved the mountains and they would often drop everything and take spontaneous trips to enjoy nature.

Susan spent a good deal of her life as a homemaker and mother staying home to raise her family but she also held several positions in the healthcare industry after her children became school aged. She also worked at the ski resort on Casper Mountain in Casper, WY., which she enjoyed as well as starting her own cleaning company. In the early 80’s she and her husband moved back to Ohio to be close to their aging parents.

Susan enjoyed crafting of all kinds. She became particularly fond of wood carving and volunteered 19 years as a wood carving instructor at the Oxford Senior Center. At 70 she began to learn how to make stained glass. She became quite proficient at it up until the onset of her illness. Susan was very active with Miami Valley 1700-1864 reenactors for 15 years and could be found demonstrating how it was to cook outside during that time period, as well as doing Native American dance demonstrations at schools, senior centers, and other events. She leaves behind many dear friends from that period of her life.

She never knew a stranger and always took the time to thank a Veteran for their service. She was a kind, generous soul who always tried to help those in need. Susan leaves behind her beloved husband, Kenneth “Ken” Krebs, three children; Roger (Scarlett) Gibson of Cincinnati, OH., Judith “Judy” (Jason) Combs of Camden, OH., and Jenny Krebs of Cincinnati, OH., eight grandchildren; Wendi, Holly, Kayla, Carl, Amanda, Eden, Celeste and Rowan, two great daughters; Madison and Faith, a sister; Ellen (Bob) Medford, a brother; Thomas (Von) Posival; a niece; Nora and two nephews; Max and Brian. She is preceded in death by her parents, her brother Ted and her nephew Chris.

Please join us for a celebration of life on Saturday, March 20 from 2:00pm to 4:00pm at Bales’ Funeral Home, 249 North Main Street, Camden, Oh. 45311. We ask that everyone kindly wear their mask out of respect for the family.
