Wanda Settles

84, of Camden, went to be with the Lord after an extended illness, Tuesday, October 15, 2024.

She was born March 11, 1940, in Kentucky, to the late Archie and Bertha (Justice) Perry.

In addition to her parents, Wanda was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Jr.; sons, Michael and John; and siblings, Ruth, Lois, Orville, Roy, Betty, Patty, and Opal.

She is survived by her son, Keith; granddaughter, Christina; great grandchildren, Ricky and Shyanne; numerous nieces and nephews; and many more family and friends.

A talented guitar player, Wanda found her voice through music. She dedicated countless hours to writing gospel songs that inspired those around her. Her lyrics, filled with love and devotion, reflected her deep faith and her desire to uplift others. Whether strumming her guitar at church gatherings or sharing her poems with friends, Wanda's passion for music was a gift she freely shared, bringing joy to many.

Wanda’s love for the Lord was the cornerstone of her life. She found peace in her faith and looked forward to the promise of heaven, where she believed she would be reunited with loved ones who had gone before her. Her unwavering spirit and joyous heart were a testament to her belief in God’s grace.

A visitation will be held Monday, October 21 from 12PM to 1PM at BALES FUNERAL HOME, CAMDEN. A graveside service will immediately follow at Fairview Cemetery, Gratis.
