William E. “Bill” Gardner

Age 88, of West Alexandria, passed away Thursday, March 12, 2020, peacefully at home.

He was preceded in death by his parents, John H. and Alice I. (Borgwardt) Gardner; wife, Arnett; step-son, Randy Johnson; and all his siblings.

Bill is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, William C. and Kim Gardner; grandson, Kaden; nieces and nephews; and his beloved pets, Casey and Dixie.

He retired from Lanier Township as the Road Superintendent and the National Guard after 27½ years of service.  Bill was a life-long farmer and loved spending time with his grandson.

A graveside service will be held Friday, March 13, 2020 at Fairview Cemetery, West Alexandria at 2PM.
